Playing with the Prinner (2)

Take a look at this link at skole.nl for a description of this phenomenon.

In the instruction video below (NL/EN) you continue your learning of the Prinner of episode 1.

The approach is similar to episode 1: but this time we work with a version in which the top voices are switched in comparison to episode 1.

As a result we get parallel movement between the outer voices and we start with an open position triad.

The starting point is again the Prinner prototype as described by Job IJzerman in his book Harmony, Counterpoint, Partimento.

In the instruction video of this post you learn:

  • To play and memorize this prototype
  • To create (again) a string of Prinners to play through all major and minor keys
  • To add a characteristic 7-6 suspension to this prototype
  • To play this prototype with different figurations.
